The LHM Foundational Course
If you are training to be a church leader or a church leader that would like to re-strengthen their foundations, this is the course for you!
Pastor Steve will take you on a 7 module journey where you will study 40 subjects with him. Some of the subjects covered: ‘The ONE True Gospel’, ‘Baptism’, ‘Social Action and Evangelism’, ‘Communion’, ‘Handling Challenges’, ‘Working as a Team’, ‘Marriage’, ‘Sexuality’, ‘How to Prepare and Deliver Sermons’, ‘The Holy Spirit’, ‘Mental Illness’ and ‘Dealing with Demons’.
Credibility rather than Accreditation
Our courses are NOT accredited but with Living Hope Ministries’ vast experience (founded in 1994), a well educated board (see below) and skilled teaching staff. If you are looking to further your Kingdom walk, our courses could be for you!
Delivery of courses
Courses are run on WhatsApp via group calls (audio only).
Course fees
There are no fees asked of students for our courses but donations to ‘Living Hope Ministries’ are always gratefully received where students and others feel led by The Lord to donate. However, students will never be asked to make a donation nor expected to do so.
Examinations
There are 7 examinations for the Friday Foundational Course but the 7 examinations are fairly straightforward and are only an essential part of the course for students aiming to obtain a certificate at the end of it. Only students who achieve an overall mark of 70% or above for the whole course will obtain a certificate and if they also have a 70% or above attendance they will obtain a certificate with distinction to honour their commitment and dedication to the course.
Term times
The Friday Foundational Course runs from 3-4pm UK time in Autumn/Winter and 4-5pm in Spring/Summer. It contains 40 lessons across 7 modules with breaks in between each module. This course runs from September to August each year and late entrants cannot be accepted due to the nature of the course.
Entry criteria
Any mature Christian who is over 18 years old of any background and from any country at all is welcome to apply to one of our courses provided they agree to our beliefs (please see the bottom of this page). All entrants who provide a sound reference from an individual known (and approved of) by Living Hope Ministries are likely to gain entry to their chosen course. You do not have to be a church leader or even trainee church leader to join one of courses but you do need to be a mature Christian.
PLEASE NOTE that the reason that the reference must be from an individual known and approved of by Living Hope Ministries is because some of our students live in countries where they face fierce persecution and it is our duty to protect them the best that we can. We are very sorry for any disappointment this may cause and would ask you to contact us requesting to receive our Bible Studies by email as an alternative if that would appeal to you.
Expectation of students
Any Students are expected to attend the course/s they enrol on as regularly as possible but we understand that for some students (particularly those living in poverty) this may not be possible and students who barely or never attend will not be taken off the course register because of lack of attendance.
Students are expected to meet examination deadlines (where relevant) and extensions will only be given for extreme circumstances as the time given to complete examinations is very generous.
Students MUST BE AWARE that as the courses are run on WhatsApp and are interactive, all other students on their chosen course will be able to see their name, phone number and profile picture. It is therefore possible that other students may contact you.
However, any kind of harassment, bad language or other foul behaviour will result in students being banned from the Living Hope Ministries’ Bible School indefinitely.
Any students that share other student’s phone numbers or personal information of any kind (including profile pictures) with anyone outside of the course they are attending, will immediately be taken off the relevant course and blocked.
