Anchors Aweigh?

What is your anchor?!

What keeps you grounded and from freaking out?!

For some, it can be anxiety or fear or perhaps both. If we stay quiet and hide away somewhere safe, perhaps everything will be ok?

But where is 'somewhere safe'? A house? A crowd? A closet?

All of these things can be knocked down and are not eternal but temporary. There is only one safe place to be and that is wherever God is. And where is God? Wherever you are.

So how we can be safe? Take hold of His righteous, victorious, mighty hand in faith.

Sometimes the most dangerous looking place is the safest place to be if you're where God wants you to be. Being safe is not about being bulletproof or invisible. Being safe is about being sure of your salvation, God's love for you and the fact that He truly is with you wherever you are.

Hebrews 6: 19-20

'We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek'.

The Lord Jesus died upon the cross for you to pay for all of the darkness in your heart and life (sin). He rose again from the grave on the third day, conquering death and conquering it for you. If you truly believe He died and rose again for you, you have received His forgiveness and will walk with Him in this life and for all eternity in a place where there will be no more fear or suffering (Heaven). He did all of this so that you could feel safe in the way that I have described and not have to live in fear.

The things that you are afraid of are afraid of Him and there is nothing that He is afraid of!

He is Creator of all! He is LORD of all!

Perhaps the world in 2026 is full of more mayhem than it has even been before? Perhaps it has been even worse in the past? In one sense, it does not really matter. What matters is that our Holy Triune God is, was and forever will be THE SAME!

If it is anything other than our Holy Triune God and His Gospel, replace your anchor.

If you do not have an anchor and you live life being tossed around by the waves of temptation, you know what to do. It's revealed in this message.
